Matt 7:24-27
Children
Education material based on
the Grace Brethren Statement of Faith
Purpose:
to train our children to build their lives on the Lord Jesus
Christ, through a systematic and life-
changing study of the Bible. The goal is that we may have a new
generation of fully devoted followers of the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Distinctives:
1. Each lesson is Bible based and systematically teaches
the Bible to our children. 100% Bible based and
covers every major area of doctrine and theology.
2. Each lesson systematically teaches our children what
we believe as the Fellowship of Grace Brethren
Churches. It is based on our statement of faith. Teaches 100% of
what we believe and want a disciple to be.
3. Each lesson is written for life-change. Each lesson
has an aim that is not only for head knowledge but to
challenge the student to change his or her life to be obedient
to God.
4. Each lesson actively involves the student according to
his or her age level and needs. Today’s children
need to discover God’s truth by being actively involved.
5. Each lesson provides a small group experience for
children by encouraging the students to share
prayer requests and pray for each other in relation to what God
wants them to do in response to the lesson as
well as for each other. Prayer must be taught to our children as
a normal part of the Christian life.
Plan:
The material is age divided into 3 parts for elementary
education. The Blocklayers is the primary age group
(typically 1st -2nd grades). The Framers is the intermediate age
group (typically 3rd – 4th grades). The
Finishers are the junior age group (typically 5th – 6th grades).
There are 2 years of lessons for each age group.
Blocklayers . . . . 1st Grade – Year 1
2nd Grade – Year 2
Framers . . . . . . 3rd Grade – Year 1
4th Grade - Year 2
Finishers . . . . . . 5th Grade - Year 1
6th Grade - Year 2
By alternating the year 1 and year 2 material, a student will
get all 6 years of the material
Usages:
Can be used for Sunday School classes, Children’s church or
other children’s education ministries.
Structure:
For
Block Layers (1st – 2nd grades)
and
Framers (3rd – 4th grades)
Classes, each month a
different part of the statement of faith is highlighted. The
Blocklayers learn foundation and elementary
principles. The Framers then build on that foundation to learn
more about each of these doctrines.

the basic concepts they have learned and applied are set into a

the Old Testament in chronological order. The
second year they will study the New Testament in chronological
order. This is to provide a solid framework for
them to put the Bible in perspective before they move on to the
